The treatments offered at St Helen's Private Hospital are aimed at helping people improve their psychological and emotional well-being in a safe and supportive environment.
We offer a variety of services including TMS and ECT therapies, and day programs that are tailored to meet the needs of people suffering from a range of mental health conditions. The Mother Baby Unit specialises in care of either or both the mother and baby and is a family centered service.
Treatment and care follows the principles of:
- Consumer-centred care with active involvement from patients, as well as family and carers as appropriate
- Providing a safe and comfortable environment
- Model of multidisciplinary approach to interventions, with holistic and self-care where possible
- Ongoing support through community services
- Patients are admitted voluntarily.
Accommodation is mainly in private rooms with ensuites. There are several communal relaxation spaces, dining rooms, gym and laundry facilities.
Patients are allowed to drive during their stay only if their treating psychiatrist approves and completes a “Permission to drive a motor vehicle” form.
We constantly measure our patients’ satisfaction with regard to the care and services they receive, and seek ways to improve how we meet their expectations. As a patient or former patient, you may be asked to respond to a questionnaire designed to gauge your level of satisfaction with our hospital facilities or services. We hope you will take the few minutes required to complete the survey as your comments are important to us.
